Productive Summer OOTD

Yesterday I got lots of work done for a new video based class that I’m going to teach on Skillshare as a way to make passive income. It’s the first of many! I recorded myself working as well as an intro and conclusive video. Now all that’s left are the voiceovers. I hope to finish…

Thrift it Clique Relaxed July 4th OOTD

To keep up with the Thrift it Clique’s OOTD posts, I put together this simple Independence Day inspired outfit. This white v-neck tee was bought for fun dance that I did with a group of girls and women at a basketball last month. Underneath the t-shirt, I wore a royal blue camisole and finished my patriotic look…

Summer OOTD + Update

Summer is here and I’m loving every moment of it! My husband and I went swimming twice this past weekend and I’ve taken up doing morning yoga and walking Justice (woof) in the evenings. I love that it’s still warm after sunset! My friend and her bestie just moved into our complex so I’m looking…

Thrift It Clique: Summer Style + Chilling at Nae’s House

The Thrift It Clique has come together once again for a collaborative style post, this time on summer style. I thought it over for awhile and decided to wear something that reflected my new lifestyle as full-time creative entrepreneur. Since I work from home, I like to be comfortable unless I’m going out. Plus, it’s…

Thrift Fitness & Lounge Haul

Two weeks ago, I made a bee line for my favorite thrift store. It was Wednesday, or as I like to call it, the Thrift Shopper’s Dream Day because all of the clothes were half off. I wasn’t sure what I’d find but I was excited to see what they had to offer. Needless to…

Look Ma, New Clothes!

As mentioned in my summer wardrobe capsules post, I’ve got 20 slots in my closet available before I meet my 100 max limit of items in my closet. To get a jump on this, my mom and I went thrift shopping at the Salvation Army this past Wednesday. Wednesday is like gold mine day because…

Found Fashion Friday’s at the Grove

This weekend, I went the to Grove for the Dallasites101 anniversary party. I didn’t get to meet Lily and Kara, the co-founders, but I did manage to run into Becca from Beckley Co.  Once I arrived, I called up Gernae (twin sis) and found my way to her table. My brother in love was also there, decked…

Weekday Capsules are Back for the Summer

So I’ve been auditing my closet again. Now that the seasons have changed and my company is in full swing, it’s time to try some new things with my wardrobe. After evaluating my closet with the Kon Marie method, I narrowed down the items that I wear out the house to 80 (shoes not included)….

Thrift It Clique: Pantones and Petals

This past week, I got together with my friends from the Thrift It Clique to cover our monthly OOTD meetup. This month’s theme was centered around Rose Quartz and Serenity, this year’s official Pantone colors. If you look around any store or outlet mall, these colors are all over the place. This year is unique…

Fashion Revolution: #HAULTERNATIVE

his past weekend, my friend Addie and I hosted our own Fashion Revolution event. To sum things up, it’s a movement dedicated to exposing dangerous working conditions and the large amount of waste produced in the fashion industry. On April 24th, 2013, the Rana Plaza complex collapsed in Dhaka, Bangladesh. This left 1134 dead and 2500 others wounded. This sparked the start of Fashion Revolution. People wanted to challenge clothing distributors to take an active part in facilitating better care of the individuals who make the clothes that we wear everyday.
