July 25, 15 OOTD: Navy and Zebra Stripes

Brandon and I did a lot of running around this weekend. By the time Sunday came, we’d bought several games for the wii and movies. I also connected with two Japanese women in the US that want to do a language exchange with me! I’m really excited about that since I’m studying Japanese independently. I also found some Youtube channels to follow along with as I learn.

It was really hot so I opted for these navy lace shorts from a brand called Alt B. and my thrifted Zebra top and brown sandals. I really loved this look (my husband raved over it too 😀 ). I will definitely be wearing this combo again. My shoulders are naturally broad and seemed to stand out in this OOTD but I’ve learned to embrace that, no shoulder pads required. Let me know what you think in the comment section.

June 23rd OOTD: Feeling Spiffy

Today I wanted to wear something that made me feel powerful and professional so I opted for this look. It’s a blue button down from Banana Republic, coupled with these grey plaid slacks and my DSW wedges. I wore my glasses but didn’t wear them here because the light kept causing a glare. It was a no make up kind of day. I can tell my confidence is building because I have started to edit my images less over time. Maybe I’ve been doing a better job of taking care of myself. I used to avoid wearing this shirt because I felt like it was a little too close fitting. Now it fits perfectly as if it were tailored. Hooray for progress!

5.9.15 OOTD: Thrift Shopping and Youtube

Today my sister, her husband and I went thrift shopping together. We captured some of our day on camera and I plan to create a few videos for Youtube later. We had a good time and I racked up 16 items for just under $47!! My sister loved the aztec printed tube skort so I gave it to her as a gift. 🙂 I wore my black knit sweater (thrift store find) over my lace razorback top from Forever 21. Then I just slipped on my blue slacks from the gap and gold Coach shoes. This is a new combination for me but I think it worked out well.
